About Andy Kull

Greetings

Andy Kull is dedicated to creating spaces of possibility and transformation in the spirit of the great Peacemakers. As a nonprofit attorney and experienced facilitator, he leads circle processes, integrates relational tools into legal practice, and offers Peacemaking-based professional development, training, and coaching for leaders, lawyers, mediators, and organizations.

Andy draws on a rich tapestry of strategies and perspectives, always aiming to collaborate and co-facilitate with his deep network of inspired colleagues—including his favorite partner in both life and work, Dr. Gretchen Pianka, author, physician, and founder of Resilience University.  Of mixed European ancestry, Andy lives with his family and pets in Wabanaki territory (Brunswick, Maine). He finds renewal at Flat Creek Sanctuary, a family bison ranch in the Texas Hill Country, where he and Gretchen host intimate, deep-dive retreats for clients and friends.

Andy holds a B.A. from Brown University (1995) and a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law (2002). Before stepping into his current calling, he practiced as a commercial attorney and litigator. He credits his evolution to the generosity of his mentors—especially Native American elders, Tibetan Buddhist teachers, and the many friends, family members, and colleagues who have shaped his path over more than three decades.

Amazing. Still in the flow of the great spirit so cannot find words, only my heart.

"Healing the Healer" Peacemaking Retreat Participant (April, 2025)

Our time together set us up to make fundamental shifts in how we see and communicate with one another. Out staff left with a feeling of being heard and confidence things could be better for everyone

Intro to the Art of Peacemaking (attorney)

I experienced real changes in my Life

Coaching cohort participant (attorney)

Thank you so much for your heart-centered, open-minded, clear-sighted ability to help us navigate these complex matters, and your profound grace through it all, which in my eyes really is a gift

Licensed Professional (partnership dispute)

The design and facilitation made it very easy to feel comfortable and share openly. The content trajectory was a gentle yet powerful guide through our sessions. I feel much gratefulness to Andy …  With mostly new people for me in the group, I felt heard and pleasantly surprised on the similar threads

Coaching cohort participant

I have felt really good since, hopeful and a deep connection with each person and popping with ideas of what next. So thank you for supporting us to have that conversation, and for ever so gently guiding it when we needed that

Co-Owner (full company transition circle)

You made each Board member think of the reason each one of us has  committed their time and energy, and made us see that we are  united in the cause

Board Member (organizational dispute)

We moved from stuck to movable, and am relieved and optimistic

Participant

The program was a solid container to lovingly confront reality
