About Andy Kull

Greetings

Andy Kull is dedicated to creating spaces of possibility and transformation in the spirit of the great Peacemakers. As an attorney, mediator and experienced facilitator, he leads circle processes, integrates relational tools into legal practice, and offers eacemaking-based professional development, training, and coaching for leaders, lawyers, mediators, and organizations.

Andy draws on a rich tapestry of strategies and perspectives, always aiming to collaborate and co-facilitate with his deep network of inspired colleagues—including his favorite partner in both life and work, Dr. Gretchen Pianka, author, physician, and founder of Resilience University.  Of mixed European ancestry, Andy lives with his family and pets in Wabanaki territory (Brunswick, Maine). He finds renewal at Flat Creek Sanctuary, a family bison ranch in the Texas Hill Country, where he hosts multi-day, small-group peacemaking sessions and deep-dive retreats.

Andy holds a B.A. from Brown University (1995) and a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law (2002), and he is a member of the board of directors of the Maine Association of Mediators. Before stepping into his current calling, he practiced as a commercial attorney and litigator. He credits his evolution to the generosity of his mentors—especially Native American elders, Tibetan Buddhist teachers, and the many friends, family members, and colleagues who have shaped his path over more than three decades.

About Kull Collaborative

Kull Collaborative is a network of Peacemakers—consultants,  mediators, facilitators, teachers, and other practitioners—committed to  supporting individuals, organizations, and communities in working  through conflict and change.

We believe that we’re all in this together. Our approach is relational and collaborative: we often work in pairs or teams, drawing on our collective skills and perspectives to meet the unique needs of each engagement.

Together,  we create spaces where understanding can grow, difficult conversations  can be held safely, and authentic solutions can emerge.

Client and Participant Testimonials

5/5 would highly recommend to a friend or colleague!

5/5  highest rating, overall program quality!

Intro to the Art of Peacemaking (90 min Zoom seminar for the Maine Association of Mediators)

A deeply complicated and emotionally charged situation ended in a real win-win agreement. The experience brought compassion for myself and others, and a renewed sense of openness and excitement.

We didn’t need therapists, lawyers, mediators, or conflict specialists.  Andrew was a one stop shop. His presence held the container for healing, clarity, and agreement to happen naturally. He is a true  peacemaker who brings life, love, and resolution simply by being who he  is.

Construction Business Owner (family business dispute)

Yesterday was a hard  day for our board of directors, and I want to thank you for gently guiding us through that meeting with such kindness  and structure. Your calm leadership and thoughtful approach created the space we needed for every voice to be heard, and because of that, we  were able to make real progress.

I’m grateful you opened our group to your unique style and steady presence. Your support made a difficult conversation constructive and respectful.  Thank you for your care, patience, and the clarity you brought to the process.

Executive Director (conflict within board of directors)

I love this process! I know it works.

Intro to the Art of Peacemaking (attorney)

I experienced real changes in my Life

Coaching cohort participant (attorney)

I have felt really good since, hopeful and a deep connection with each person and popping with ideas of what next. So thank you for supporting us to have that conversation, and for ever so gently guiding it when we needed that

Co-Owner (full company transition circle)

Amazing. Still in the flow of the great spirit so cannot find words, only my heart.

"Healing the Healer" Peacemaking Retreat Participant (April, 2025)

The design and facilitation made it very easy to feel comfortable and share openly. The content trajectory was a gentle yet powerful guide through our sessions. I feel much gratefulness to Andy …  With mostly new people for me in the group, I felt heard and pleasantly surprised on the similar threads

Coaching cohort participant

You made each Board member think of the reason each one of us has  committed their time and energy, and made us see that we are  united in the cause
